It looks like VMware modified the NSX beginner lab 1403 so that the tasks now are completely independent of each other and can be done in pretty much any order. Unfortunately this process lost all of the initial configuration steps that were included in the actual lab.
In a recent training for vCenter Server Orchestrator 5 we had to build a workflow that would leverage an email server to send mails. The lab was more of a theoretical practice as no actual email server was installed and a full blown Exchange is overkill for most homelab scenarios. I also do prefer Windows over any sendmail configuration at any point in time and have discovered hMailServer to be a perfect fit for my lab setups.
I had a customer a while ago who was unable to log in into the additional created tenant in vCloud Automation Center 6.0.1. The same issue can be reproduced in vRealize Automation as well. Logins to the default tenant would succeed without any issues and a very similar test environment did work without any issues at all for logins.
As my On-Demand NSX ICM course lab is still broken I wanted to play a bit with vRealize Automation 6.2 and the embedded vRealize Orchestrator 6.0.
I did receive my Cisco VIRL download link yesterday and after a couple of minutes waiting (do use a download manager as they recommend, without it would abort a couple of times for me) I finally got the OVA and key file as well.
Christmas is the time for sharing and giving. As I have been rather busy in the past 2 months to share other content you can find 3 of my VMUG and customer day presentations. Especially since both themes recently came up on twitter as well.
